About the Artist
Lorie Short, Kentucky native and Glasgow professional artist, works in acrylic, mixed media, pastel and watercolor. Many of her works represent her love of nature, especially Kentucky wildflowers.
Lorie frequently repurposes materials as design elements in her art, with the hopes that others will realize the intrinsic value of commonly discarded items. Color is her favorite part of design and speaks the loudest to her.
Lorie is married to Charles and has three children and two grandchildren. She enjoys gardening and spending time with her family and pets.
