The Guild of the Barrens

Lorie Short studied art at Western Kentucky University and painting through the Barren County Community Education Program under the direction of John Wing. She is a member of The Arts Guild of the Barrens, Inc. and has served on its Board of Directors. She is also a member of The Scottsville Art Guild, for which she served as Vice-President in 2010, President for 2011, and Chair-Person for the Summers End Art Show in 2011 and 2013. She also instructed the Artist Enrichment Work Shops in 2012 and served as Curator of The Stonehaven Gallery at Barren River Lake State Resort Park Lodge. She currently works as an acrylic painting instructor for the Barren County Community Education program, and the Allen County Board of Education Community Enrichment Program.
