Lorie Short has won numerous awards in Kentucky and Tennessee with various works.

In March 2007, she was the featured artist in “Who’s Who in Kentucky Arts &Crafts” by Arlene Wright-Correll that appeared in The Hart County News-Herald. She was the cover artist for SOKY Magazine in April 2013 and May 2014, as well as the featured artist in the July 2014 issue. She has exhibited her works at Allen County Library, the Scottsville YMCA, Dumplings’ of Scottsville, The Narrow Way Bed & Breakfast in Barren County, and Barren County Chiropractor of Glasgow.

In 2011, 2012, and 2013 Lorie was accepted into the ArtWorks, Inc. All-Kentucky Juried Exhibit; In 2013 her work was featured in The Christine Snavely Art Gallery at the South Central Kentucky Cultural Center. Her art has alwo been displayed in The Stonehaven Gallery at Barren River Lake State Park Lodge, The Backdoor Gallery in Cookeville, Tennessee-September, and The Glasgow Chamber of Commerce.

Lorie has works in the private collections of MR. and Mrs. Rodger Johnson, Dr. John Blackburn, Western Kentucky University Library—Elizabethtown campus, Mr. and Mrs. James Sizemore, Mr. and Mrs. Jose’ Cuellar.
